He played out plenty of mysterious plot points as The Young and the Restless' Luca Santori, and now Miles Gaston Villanueva is set play with one of the greatest mystery solvers of all time via his new role on the CW's Nancy Drew.
The actor first brought news of his new role to fans via a very cryptic social media message that simply stated, "new look for the character _____ on the show _____ on the _____ network debuting ______ and i couldn't be more ______ !"

Fans immediately began speculating that he was referring to a soap role, but he quickly shot down the rumor with the message, "No soaps." That was soon followed by the news that he will be playing a recurring character named Owen opposite Kennedy McMann and Riley Smith on Nancy Drew.
Written by Noga Landau and Dynasty co-creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Nancy Drew centers on 18-year-old Nancy Drew (McMann) as she embarks on summer vacation after her high school graduation. Nancy thought she'd be leaving her hometown for college, but when a socialite is murdered, she finds herself a prime suspect in the crime, along with a group of other teens present at the scene.
Deadline describes Villanueva's Owen as a carefree and charming young real estate mogul who is a business rival of Ryan Hudson (Smith), and a member of a wealthy and respected local family himself. Sparks fly when Owen meets Nancy -- but she soon learns he may not have an alibi for the night Tiffany Hudson was killed.
Villanueva teases that fans can look forward to his debut as Nancy Drew's Owen on Wednesday, November 6, at 9PM on the CW.

Villanueva played the role of Y&R's Luca from 2013 to 2016. Some of his other credits include the NBC mini-series Law & Order True Crime, The Resident, For the People, Rosewood, and Jane the Virgin.
