Beth and Lizzie arrive at Ravenwood to find Olivia and Phillip have just been married. Lizzie accuses Olivia of taking advantage of her father's current mental state, but Phillip says it was his choice. Upset with the news, Lizzie calls Alan. When they arrive, Phillip defends his new wife to his father and Alexandra. When alone, Phillip's imaginary lawyer-self asks him if he really loves Olivia or if she manipulated him into this marriage. Phillip explains this is the only way to get his little girl back - he and Olivia can have another baby and everything will be fine. Olivia refuses Alan's payoff and urges him to take her to court - her marriage is perfectly legal so she'll win. Sam wants Olivia to tell Phillip that his daughter is alive, but she says it's not time yet.

At home, Lizzie blames her mother for letting Olivia manipulate Phillip. All she wants is for her parents to be back together again. Beth says maybe Olivia could help Phillip heal; she can't.

At Towers, Bruzi threatens harm to Eden if Tony doesn't join forces with him. Tony wins a fist fight with Bruzi's man as Eden turns the knife on Bruzi. Tony again refuses his offer and orders him to leave town. Tony catches Bruzi pulling a gun and reminds him that Danny's friends would not be happy if Tony and Eden were killed. In fact, Bruzi would find himself dead. Eden takes a bleeding Tony to Cedars.

After the press conference, Danny is eager to get home to Michelle for their date night. O'Neill arrives with rumors from the Marler camp - that Danny has Lewis Construction workers "in his hip pocket." He suggests making their books open to the public so dispel such rumors. Bill doesn't agree.

At the Santos house, Carrie stands over Michelle who begs her to turn off the gas just before she collapses, unable to breathe. Danny and Bill come home to find Michelle passed out on the floor. They smell gas but the fireplace gas valve is closed. Bill heads to the basement to turn off the gas at the source as Michelle wakes. She can't remember turning off the gas. When Danny leaves the room Carrie expects a thank you from Michelle for saving her life. (She was about to call 911 when Danny's car pulled up). Michelle is angry and accuses Carrie of trying to kill her.

At the hospital, Ed doesn't believe Tony's knife wound story (he did it at the ranch with a Bowie knife) and wants to report it to the police. Bill hurries in to tell Ed about Michelle's accident, but is surprised to see Eden there with Tony. Bill doesn't believe Tony's story either and accuses Tony of bringing Danny down. He may cost him the election. Eden almost lets is slip that Tony was trying to help Danny when he was stabbed but Tony covers by promising to stay out of trouble. Tony ignores his nurse and leaves the hospital in pain.

Ed calls his daughter who refuses medical treatment. Danny promises his father-in-law that he is having a professional come to the house to check out the pipes. Ed says you can never be too careful.

Later, Danny gains some perspective, realizing that Michelle and Robbie should be his number one priority, not the campaign he's been so caught up in. He offers to help ease the tension between Ed and his wife and Ed and Rick, but Michelle changes the subject, suggesting they go on as planned with their date night.

Gus meets O'Neill to tell him Alan denies knowing a Maryanne Caruthers. He thinks he's lying. Gus wants more info on Maryanne so O'Neill explains that the Caruthers family developed Antimonious, a drug manufactured by Spaulding Pharmaceuticals. A similar drug, Delirium, is on the black market in Europe, but it can be fatal and causes brain damage in 1 out of 20 users. O'Neill wants to stop the drug from getting to the US but needs Gus to help him find out who at Spaulding may be behind it. He even suggests that Phillip has been drugged with it in order to get him out of the company. Gus is sick of O'Neill's conspiracy theories so hesitates when O'Neill asks "Are you in?"

Baffled by Olivia's strange behavior, Cassie follows her to her house. She confronts Olivia, but a crying baby interrupts them. Olivia admits her baby is alive. She explains that she and Phillip were married, and she wants to protect her child from the Spauldings. After questioning the gas man, Danny believes the gas was tampered with. Ed visits Michelle, but they have it out and he leaves. Ross uses the brewing mob war to try to convince the mayor to endorse him instead of Danny. Blake tells Ross she heard Tony was stabbed. Both know Danny's camp will try to keep this quiet. The mayor informs Danny he will endorse Ross. Danny and Ross have words as Danny reminds Ross and Blake they are not angels. After, Ross decides to leak the story to the press. Michelle tells Marah and Marina about the gas incident. They wonder if Carrie was trying to kill her. Carrie enters as the girls talk and offers a gift to Michelle. Reva and Marah discuss Josh's recent distance. Marah expresses guilt to her mother for holding Josh to a standard of perfection. Josh tells Billy that he is going to the police. Billy punches him. Josh decides he will turn himself in and claim it was only him in the car with Maryanne. Billy tries to convince Josh not to take the blame citing Josh's family, but Josh is undeterred. Josh calls Frank to make an appointment to talk. Ed fills Billy in on what happened to Michelle and about Josh. Ed doesn't want Josh to turn himself in. Josh knocks on Reva's door and goes inside.

Olivia pleads for Cassie's silence regarding Emma's existence, appealing to Cassie's protective maternal instinct. She lets Cassie hold Emma, and Cassie agrees to keep mum, saying that she would've done the same thing to keep her own baby safe. Cassie tries to convince Olivia to let Phillip in on the secret, but Olivia fears his mental state is too fragile for now.

At Towers, Edmund, Tammy, Joey and Sandy arrive for dessert and discussion about Romeo and Juliet. Edmund is distracted by his quest to find out if Cassie's baby is indeed alive. Tammy and Joey argue intensely about the play, but the underlying meaning is clear - Joey wants sex and Tammy wants romance. Joey storms off to the balcony, while Tammy bursts into tears and Edmund and Sandy sit in discomfort. Sandy departs to talk to Joey, and Edmund stays to counsel Tammy. Both give the two teens similar advice - stop pressing the other so much and just enjoy who they are. Tammy and Joey reconcile on the balcony, Sandy leaves, and a just-arrived Cassie joins Edmund. The two then interrupt Tammy and Joey's make-out session, and Cassie takes the twosome home while Edmund privately fields a call from Dax. Unfortunately, the news isn't good; Dax has finally located Cassie's doctor from that fateful night, but the good doctor is dead. Edmund is determined to get to the bottom of this ever-growing mystery.

At Michelle's, Carrie is confronted by Marina, Marah and Michelle. They accuse her of trying to kill Michelle, but Carrie merely scoffs. The three young women are no good to her dead. Carrie manages to convince Marina of her good intentions; however, Michelle isn't so sure and Marah is fed up. She leaves, declaring that she chooses to stick with her father. Marah goes home to the museum, where she finds the tunnel door open. Sandy, who has come to make amends, surprises her. Marah suddenly realizes that her long-lost doll, Polly, has suddenly reappeared on her couch. She questions Sandy, but he is just as puzzled as she. He goes on to apologize to her because he realizes how unfair he's been, and promises to not stick his nose in her business. He leaves, but Marah remains unsettled - who's been traveling through the tunnels and leaving her a long-lost toy?

At the Lewis home, Josh announces that he wants to spend the night with Reva. She can tell that something is going on with her husband and grows increasingly troubled by his tone. He acts as if this will be the last night they'll ever spend together. Josh makes oblique references to what he's about to do (i.e., confessing to Frank about Maryanne Caruthers) and hints that Reva will lose her trust and respect for him. She tries to reassure him, and they end up in bed. Afterward, Josh is accosted outside by Billy, who informs him that someone tried to kill Michelle. Billy tries again to convince Josh out of confessing, stating that the mystery person is out for their daughters and Josh can't protect Marah when he's in prison. Billy states that the only way to end this nightmare is if the men get rid of the mystery person.

Blake is suspicious of Harley's phone call from Jeffrey. Danny accuses Ross of leaking the story about Tony's fight to the press, but he denies it. Ross believes Danny could hurt Springfield if elected mayor. Danny vows to prove him wrong, and adds that he's not above playing hardball. Tony continues to pressure Eden about what a good team they'd make. He says Eden can play it out with Bill until the bitter end and when it's over, she knows where to find him. Danny is angry with Tony about getting into a fight with Bruzi. Tony wants Danny to stay clean; he'll find out if somebody is trying to send Danny a message. Jeffrey needs Gus to look over all of Spaulding's production records for Antimonios and check them against shipping records. Alexandra steams in, declaring that she and Alan have to get Phillip's marriage to Olivia annulled. Even though his thoughts are elsewhere, Alan assures Alexandra that he isn't ignoring the Olivia problem. Olivia stops by for the key to Phillip's office. Gus announces that he's staying on at Spaulding. He notices that Alan doesn't seem very happy about this. Olivia informs Harley that she married Phillip, and unwittingly mentions Gus's decision to continue working at Spaulding. A fuming Harley slams the door in Gus's face. Christopher asks Reva to start working with him again. Reva replies that Joshua needs her right now; she doesn't want to get distracted with other things. It is revealed that Christopher is working with Jeffrey.

Jeffrey's task force is skeptical about using so many civilians (Gus, Harley, and Reva via Dr. Langham) for their drug-busting operation. Jeffrey is sure about what he's doing and dismisses them. Dr. Langham expresses doubt about pressuring Reva to start re-using her psychic powers due to the stress in her life, but Jeffrey is adamant that the doctor should manipulate her to meet their objectives (and to also keep her in the dark about what he's doing). Jeffrey shows himself to be an "end justifies the means" kind of guy and is not above using threats, manipulation and intimidation to keep people in line. He's focused on busting up the drug operation by any means necessary. Jeffrey also wants Cassie tested for psychic ability, and Dr. Langham suggests that Marah be tested as well. Jeffrey agrees.

At Towers, Billy and Josh are looking over a map of the underground tunnels. Josh has changed his mind about confessing, as long as the girls remain in danger. Reva arrives, and Billy leaves so Josh can have some alone time with her. After discussing how much they miss each other, Reva asks Josh to move back in. However, Josh states that it's not yet time; he has a lot of loose ends to tie up. Reva understands and agrees to wait. Billy rejoins Josh after Reva leaves, and Josh takes the map to have a look around the tunnels.

Beth and Lizzie also arrive at Towers, and after chatting with Billy they sit and try to take their minds off Olivia. However, Lizzie is clearly unhappy and Beth sends her home. Jeffrey arrives, and Beth joins him. A very wary Jeffrey is puzzled (since their affair ended badly), but Beth quickly gains the upper hand. She comes on to him, stating that she wasn't ready for a no-strings affair before but that she's more than ready now. She also quickly and accurately reads his feelings for Marah. Jeffrey is uncomfortable, and Beth tells him that she understands what he feels since she had a similar affair with a younger man (Bill). She states that Marah's youth, innocence, and talent all appeal to Jeffrey and he's not sure what to do.

At the museum, Marah and Marina discuss Carrie. Marina thinks they should trust her, but Marah remains unconvinced. Suddenly Marah sees her long-lost doll again and is spooked because she had put it away in a closet. She puts it away yet again, but it reappears in her sewing box. As she reaches in, a sharp object slashes her hand.

Gus and Harley are having a major fight regarding his decision to stay at Spaulding Enterprises. Each doesn't know that the other is doing spy work for Jeffrey. Harley is convinced that Gus is being sucked into the Spaulding black hole, and he's hurt that she thinks he's so easily manipulated. Zach, awakened by their yelling, comes down and the two adults are instantly embarrassed by their childish behavior. Gus explains that when two people love each other and they disagree, they sometimes do a lot of talking but no listening, which leads into each person talking louder but still not listening, until everybody is yelling. He points out that it's important to apologize and to show the person love. After Gus puts Zach to bed, he and Harley kiss and make up.

At the Lewis house, Dr. Langham visits Reva. He presses her for an answer (re: if she's ready to pick up on her studies) and she agrees to continue their work. In their conversation, she mentions that she's usually able to read family members but that Sandy remains very closed to her. After the doctor leaves, Reva looks lovingly at the various photos of her family. She picks up a particularly attractive one of Josh. Suddenly, his face grows fuzzy and the picture crashes to the floor.
