Now that The Young and the Restless is back with all-new episodes, fans want to know what kind of drama the powers that be have planned for the weeks and months ahead. Well, ask and you shall receive! Y&R head writer Josh Griffith has given a preview of what viewers can expect as Genoa City residents live out the rest of summer 2020.
First up is not one but two steamy love triangles. Griffith tells TV Insider that fans can expect some complicated matters of the heart to entangle Adam (Mark Grossman), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and Sharon (Sharon Case), while the trio of Amanda (Mishael Morgan), Billy (Jason Thompson), and Nate (Sean Dominic) will also experience some heat after Amanda learns some shocking news from her past and needs a shoulder to cry on.
Meanwhile, Abbott siblings Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Traci (Beth Maitland) are heartbroken as Dina's (Marla Adams) health continues to deteriorate due to Alzheimer's disease.
"They try to solve a mystery from Dina's past as a final gift," Griffith reveals. "It's a terrific family-bonding story."
