Soap opera veteran Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless; ex-Nina Reeves, General Hospital) knows a thing or two about beauty. After all, the stunning actress has probably graced more magazine covers than the most-booked supermodels! And luckily for her adoring fans, she is working on a book that reveals all of her health and beauty "secrets."
"Staying fit... it's quite a subject," the actress shares on Instagram. "The most commonly asked question of me by others is 'how do you stay so thin?' Ya know... there is no secret, there is no magical potion. It is always diet and exercise. And in order to lose weight it is also diet and exercise. Of course the decision to change is the main thing. One must decide to change and want to change. THAT is the 'secret'."
The actress goes on to explain that she has had a very unconventional relationship with food. "I, like the next person, love to eat good food and usually the best tasting food is the stuff that is not so great for our belly and ass. Although.... I am determined to change that," she reveals. "Some of you know I am in the middle of writing a book on taking care of your skin from the inside out. I have been working on this book for over a year. The research has been extensive but believe me it will be worth it!!"
Stafford reveals even more in an interview with Women Fitness, sharing, "When I eat junk and sit on my ass, it shows, and when I eat healthier, more nutritious foods and I'm more active, that shows also. It's easy for me to gain weight, but also easy for me to lose it as well. It takes a certain amount of self-honesty to be aware of the connection between my behavior and when I feel my clothes feel a bit snugger."
Stafford has yet to reveal further details about her health and beauty book or when it will be released, so keep checking back to Soap Central for updates as they come. In the meantime, be sure to check out the actress' beauty and skincare line, Skin Nation.
