This Is Us trailer featuring Y&R's Justin Hartley sets viewership record

This Is Us, the new series starring The Young and the Restless' Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), is already breaking records, months before its primetime debut!

Whoa, baby. This Is Us, the new series starring The Young and the Restless' Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), is off to a smokin' strong start.

The trailer for the new NBC dramedy from Dan Fogelman and 20th Century TV has already gotten almost 15 million Facebook views just 48 hours after it was released -- which shatters the previous record of a new show trailer, which was 4.1 million Facebook views for last year's Legends of Tomorrow. It has also amassed almost 3 million YouTube views in addition to many more views on NBC.com (the number of which the network will not disclose).

As Soap Central previously reported, This Is Us stars Hartley, Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, and Ron Cephas Jones, and tells the story of a group of characters who all share the same birthday... as well as some other very curious connections.

Watch the record-breaking trailer below then let us know what you think about the premise for the series.

How do you feel about the trailer for This Is Us shattering the record for most-viewed TV trailer? Will you be tuning in to the series when it debuts later this year?
