In what promises to be a devilishly delicious return from the dead, Constance Towers is reprising her role as General Hospital dame Helena Cassadine later this month. But how will the malevolent matriarch fit into current storyline?
The ABC soap opera gave a sneak peek preview of Towers' Monday, August 19, return to TV Line, who reports that Helena will be appearing via a flashback scene.
"[The photo] is from a flashback to Shiloh (played by Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and Drew Cain's (Billy Miller) time in Afghanistan," the outlet reports. "Who is having this flashback, though, and with whom are they sharing the bombshells contained within?"
GH is keeping mum about additional storyline details, but many viewers are hoping that Helena's return will explain Billy Miller's upcoming departure as Drew.
As GH fans recall, this isn't the first time that Helena has come back from the grave. The character (who first appeared in 1997) died in November 2016, but she reappeared in a hallucination that haunted Jake during the 2017 Nurses Ball.
