There seems to be a revolving door over at ABC's General Hospital lately. Hot on the heels of the news that Michael Easton (Silas Clay) and the show's head writer, Ron Carlivati, are out comes word that alum Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina Corinthos Davis) is on her way back to the show.

Ainsworth played the role of Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sonny's (Maurice Benard) daughter from 2009 to 2011 before the powers that be chose to age the character and asked Lindsey Morgan to step into the role. Morgan and the character left Port Charles in 2013 when Kristina started studying at Wesleyan. To read a recap of Kristina's final day in Port Charles, read our Recaps Archive section.

Now Soap Opera Digest reports that the beloved character is heading back -- seemingly much smarter than she was before, now that she has some college under her belt!

Viewers can expect to see Ainsworth's Kristina return to the canvas sometime in late August/early September.
