WATCH: Trailer released for John-Paul Lavoisier's post-DAYS film

Wanna know where you can catch John-Paul Lavoisier now that he's almost finished as Days of our Lives' Philip Kiriakis? Check out the trailer for his new film, Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey.

It won't be long before John-Paul Lavoisier last airs as Days of our Lives' Philip Kiriakis, but fans of the charismatic actor don't have to fret about where to see him next. His new film, Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey, is slated to hit theaters in February.

The coming of age California motorcycle road trip story by two-time Emmy Award winning filmmaker Terry Sanders is set in the 1960s and is said to combine elements of Romeo and Juliet and The Odyssey. Lavoisier plays the part of Harold alongside costars Kristen Minter (ex-Jordan Baines, General Hospital), Eric Henry (Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life), Mikey Madison (Better Things), Madison Iseman (Still the King), and Valarie Rae Miller (Dark Angel).

Says the official synopsis: "In the turbulent summer of 1969 -- the summer of the Bomb, the Vietnam draft and the exploding sexual revolution -- fifteen-year-old Liza and sixteen-year-old boyfriend Brett set off on an eventful four day motorcycle trip up the coast of California from Pacific Palisades to Monterey and Big Sur. Brett will soon be going easy and Liza, unsure of the future, has decided to be Brett's 'first girl.' Almost everything gets in the way and goes wrong for the two runaways in this sweet, bittersweet -- very real -- love story."

Lavoisier, also known to daytime fans as One Life to Live's Rex Balsom, first appeared in the role of DAYS' Philip in December of 2015. Not long after that, the show decided to write the character off the canvas.
