Lisa Rinna's much-hyped return to Days of our Lives is now a thing of the past. The actress confirms that she had taped her final scenes on the NBC soap. Rinna debuted as Billie Reed in 1992.

Lisa Rinna (Billie Reed) has wrapped up her Days of our Lives return.

"It was my last day on Days of Our Lives," Rinna posted on Twitter on Tuesday, October 9. "[T]omorrow I start a new gig. Off we go!"

Rinna did not elaborate on what her new gig might be, NBC revealed that Rinna will be part of an all-star season of the network's reality show, Celebrity Apprentice. The show will air in March 2013.

Meanwhile, the actress's name has come up as the possible host of a talk show. It would be familiar territory for Rinna, who, with One Life to Live vet Ty Treadway, co-hosted the soap-themed cable talk show Soap Talk.

In August, a source close to Rinna also revealed that Rinna has many other irons in the fire.

"She's leaving [Days of our Lives] so she can do all of the 500 other things she loves to do," the Huffington Post reported, citing a friend of the actress. "[She's working on] her Belle Gray line for QVC, she's writing another diet and fitness book, plus she's developing a vitamin supplement line and lingerie line."

Rinna debuted as Billie Reed in 1992 and remained with the show for three years. She returned for a short-term engagement from July 2002 to January 2003. Her recent return began in March 2012.

A final airdate has yet to be announced, though Days of our Lives' tape schedule puts the actress' farewell in January 2013.
