As the World Turns' Alexandra Chando launches Her Voice podcast

Actress Alexandra Chando (ex-Maddie Coleman, As the World Turns) has teamed up with Blair Bomar for Her Voice, a podcast that helps women in filmmaking.

As the World Turns alum Alexandra Chando (ex-Maddie Coleman, As the World Turns) is jumping into the competitive world of podcasts with her own series for female filmmakers. She and her business partner, actress Blair Bomar, just launched Her Voice, which they created and co-host.

According to an official description, the podcast focuses on "getting candid and having meaningful conversations with female filmmakers in regard to their challenges and triumphs in the film and television industry and their unique experience of finding their voice."

The Her Voice podcast will also welcome male entertainment industry professionals "who are opening doors for gender equality" and who would like to provide "their own insights and perspectives on an evolving industry."

Says Chando, "[Blair] and I couldn't be more thrilled for everyone to hear the conversations we've been having with incredible females in the entertainment industry."

The Her Voice podcast is currently available on Apple, Spotify, and many other places where podcasts are found. The first episode kicked off on Wednesday, January 15, with new episodes scheduled to be released every Wednesday.

Chando played the role of Maddie on As the World Turns from 2005 to 2010. After leaving the world of daytime, she landed the lead role in the short-lived series The Lying Game and has made appearances on television series like Castle, The Vampire Diaries, Hawaii Five-0, and The Neighborhood.

Chando made her directorial debut in 2018 with the short film LPM, Likes Per Minute. The film screened at the inaugural Mammoth Film Festival, where Chando also serves as an operations manager. She is also listed as a producer and director for The Dinner Party, a TV series currently in pre-production.

Bomar's acting credits include From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and Queen of the South. She is also the writer and director of the short film Grace & Grit.
